So I've been listening on and off to Oberhofer ever since I heard their song 'o0oo0oo' a couple years ago in the Sobe commercial with Ashley Greene. They have just a really unique sound and they capture that song in every song they do. Well I guess they've been doing a little bit of hip hop covering and put up a cover over 'Runaway' by Kanye on their soundcloud. I really liked the original, and it was probably one of the few songs I really liked off of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Anyways this rendition is super eerie, echoy and clearly a bit more relaxed than the original because they're not really rapping any parts in it. It kind of reminds me of something that Band of Horses would do if you're looking for a band to compare to, the piano turned guitar sounds a lot like 'Funeral'. Anyways give this song a chance if you like Oberhofer, and if you don't I'll post 'o0oo0oo' because it still stands as one of my favorite summer tracks.
